Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC)
A technique that measures how much heat is required to raise the temperature of a material.
How It Works
- A sample of the material is placed in a cell
- An empty cell is used as a reference
- Both cells are heated at a steady rate
- The difference in heat input for the two cells is measured as the temperature increases
